JUST THE BEGINNING... The 'sesquicentennial' year of 2008 was only a beginning of the work of the Society of Friends of St. Ann's Academy ~~ Victoria, B.C.in preserving the legacy of St. Ann's Academy, and telling the stories of the courageous Sisters of St. Ann in their historical and modern mission work.  More importantly, the influence of St. Ann's Academy must live on in generations who have not yet learned of the impact on the history of British Columbia of this educational institution, and the women who founded it.  Your support of our 'legacy projects' will assist us in telling this wonderful story in years to come.

EDUCATIONAL AWARDS... In 2008, the Sisters of St. Ann started two educational awards at the University of Victoria, each in the principal amount of $150,000.  One award in the Faculty of Education and one in the School of Nursing (Faculty of Human and Social Development) will assist deserving students from the region who come from, and desire to return to, isolated or under-developed areas, where, once again the Sisters of St. Ann will answer the call of those people most in need in Western and Northern Canada.

WORKING TOGETHER TO ENHANCE THE SITE... The Society of Friends of St. Ann's Academy ~~ Victoria, B.C.is committed to working alongside the Provincial Capital Commission in adding enhancements to the heritage buildings and grounds of this National Historic Site.  Such additions as interpretive signage (in both English and French), cataloguing of artifacts, and conservation of garden and grounds will improve the visitor experience to this important site, one that is recognized as the centre of much of Francophone and women's history in Victoria, B.C.
